Barnes Bridge Ladies’ Rowing Club
Barnes Bridge Ladies’ Rowing Club welcomes rowers, scullers and (especially) coxes of all ages and abilities. Our members range from a couple of ex-GB Gold Medal winners who still row on a regular basis, to complete novices who are just starting to learn the ropes. The age range is from early twenties through to fifties and sometimes sixties.
If you are an experienced rower – be it senior or novice – we will fit you into our normal outings based on your experience and take it from there.
If you have never rowed before we do run special courses for complete novices. Get fit and row.
Off the water, there is an ongoing land training programme, of which you can do as much or as little as you like depending on your personal goals. This includes rowing specific circuit training run just for the club through the winter season. We have our very own gym on site ‘The Shed’, use of which is fully included in your membership fees and access to a rowing training tank next door.
It’s also important to mention the bar & social side of life! From the weekly Thursday night post outing dinner in the bar when someone takes it in turn to cook, to monthly Sunday pub lunches to the big annual gatherings for Henley Royal Regatta or the Christmas Party, there is always something to look forward to both on and off the water.
